Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany Monica Iversen, at the invitation of the Chairman of the Board – Rector Kanat Tireuov, made a friendly visit to Seifullin University. The event was attended by Sofia Foss, the attache for the Economy of Germany in Kazakhstan and the management staff of the University.
During the meeting, the parties held official negotiation, exchanged views on bilateral relations, cooperation in various fields, including international and regional issues of mutual interest, and reached an important broad consensus.
Today Germany is a leading partner of Kazakhstan in the implementation of projects for the development of dual vocational and technical education in Kazakhstan.
Currently, German dual education has been implemented in more than 400 Kazakhstani colleges with the participation of local enterprises in 80 specialties and 160 qualifications.
For instance, dual training is carried out in cooperation with German enterprises, which provide support through such measures as expert support for the development of curricula, the organization of industrial practices and professional development of teachers and masters.
In 2022, 18 students of Seifullin University had practice in LOGO, 3 students in Agrarkontakt. In 2023, the number of students willing to practice in DEULA-Nienburgh 13 people, in LOGO 5 and in Agrarkontakt 3 people.
On the basis of bilateral cooperation at the University of Applied Sciences Weihenstephan-Trizdorf with which Seifullin University cooperates on the basis of the academic mobility program during the period of cooperation - 17 undergraduates were trained.
The Department of Ecology of the Faculty of Forestry, Wildlife and the Environment is holding discussions with the Freiburg University named after Albert and Ludwig on conducting scientific research in the field of dendrochronological research and the study of woody shrub plantations in connection with global climate change, and it is also planned to invite Professor Choima Dulamsuren from the same University in April 2024.
According to the Chairman of the Board - Rector Kanat Tireuov Seifullin University has extensive experience in exchange programs with European Universities.
"Today, we are interested in the Dresden Technical University and the Bielefeld University for conducting scientific research, academic mobility of students and teaching staff, and advanced training of teaching staff. I would like to note that we are interested and open to mutually beneficial long-term joint activities with German universities and are ready to form and further implement double-degree educational programs at our faculties," claimed Kanat Tireuov.
In turn, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany Monica Iversen noted the high importance of dual education in professional training of personnel for a successful economy.
At the end of the negotiation, the parties confirmed their readiness to make efforts to fulfil their aspirations for a common future characterized by centuries of friendship, deep mutual trust and solidarity.
