简介/Brief Introduction:

北京城市规划学会成立于1994年，是北京地区从事城市科学、城乡规划、规划设计、规划管理的工作者及相关从业人员自愿联合的组织。接受业务主管单位北京市规划和自然资源委员会、社会团体登记管理机关北京市民政局的业务指导和监督管理。

学会以“政府的助手、会员的帮手、事业的推手”为服务宗旨，以服务首都发展和城乡规划建设为方向，积极开展学术研究、学术交流、专业培训、咨询服务和科学普及等活动，为提高首都科学发展和城乡规划的理论与实践水平提供学术支撑，为全面落实首都政治中心、文化中心、国际交往中心、科技创新中心的战略定位，建设国际一流的和谐宜居之都服务。学会主要业务包括组织北京市优秀城乡规划奖评荐，市规自委系统优秀调研成果评奖，注册规划师、责任规划师管理、交流、继续教育活动，北京和京津冀地区青年演讲交流，相关课题研究及成果推广，人才服务平台建设等。

学会目前会员单位共计124家，下设分支机构28个，已基本形成涵盖专业全、研究能力强、能够为学会活动提供全面支撑的专业力量和专家团队。

Beijing Urban Planning Society (BUPS) is founded in 1994,  is a voluntary professional association under the guidance of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Planning and Natural Resources. Its mission is to act as an "assistant to the government, a helper to members, and a promoter of the urban planning field." It supports Beijing's development as a world-class, livable city and its strategic role as China's political, cultural, international exchange, and scientific innovation center. Core activities include organizing the Beijing Excellent Urban and Rural Planning Award, managing continuing education for certified planners, hosting academic exchanges and youth forums, and promoting research. The Society comprises 124 member units and 28 branches, forming a comprehensive professional network that provides extensive support for its activities.
