BUCEA holds roundtable for international students in China

On November 5, Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture (BUCEA) hosted the “Face-to-Face with the Vice President: International Students Roundtable,” held in conjunction with the mid-term teaching review meeting. Vice President CHEN Zhaohui engaged in face-to-face discussions with international student representatives from ten countries, including Belarus, Rwanda, Iran, and Ethiopia, to learn about their experiences and suggestions regarding study and life at the university.

During the roundtable, the students actively shared their views, giving high recognition to the university’s strong academic atmosphere and advanced educational philosophy. They offered suggestions on areas such as improving admissions publicity, addressing cultural adaptation challenges, and enhancing service details in daily life.

Vice President CHEN Zhaohui expressed her appreciation for the valuable suggestions. She noted that the university attaches great importance to the cultivation and support of international students, and encouraged them to make full use of BUCEA’s geographical advantages—exploring hutongs, visiting historical sites, and experiencing a three-dimensional, authentic Beijing firsthand.

This roundtable is an important step in strengthening communication channels for international students and improving services for the university’s internationalization efforts. BUCEA will continue to enhance both its campus facilities and support services for international education, provide international students with a better learning and living environment, and further elevate the overall quality of its internationalized education.
